Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase knowledge and awareness among the Tajinan community, particularly
those with non-communicable diseases (NCDs), about the importance of a healthy diet. Furthermore, the use of digital
leaflets can serve as a model for innovative healthcare services at the Tajinan Community Health Center (Puskesmas), while
also supporting the government's efforts to implement the Healthy Living Community Movement (GERMAS). The
program is implemented at the Tajinan Community Health Center (Puskesmas Tajinan), a first-level health care facility in
Malang Regency. As a community health service center, this community health center not only provides curative services but also plays a role in promotive and preventive efforts to reduce the incidence of diseases, including Non-Communicable
Diseases (NCDs). The main problems faced by partners include the high number of NCD sufferers such as hypertension,
diabetes mellitus, and heart disease, which are largely caused by unhealthy diets and a sedentary lifestyle. Furthermore, the
community, especially those with NCDs, does not have sufficient understanding of the importance of a healthy diet, such
as limiting sugar, salt, and fat consumption. Existing education has not been able to encourage significant behavioral
changes. The implementation method was participatory, including material presentations, demonstrations of the use of
information system-based digital leaflets, interactive discussions, and Q&A sessions. The results showed a significant
increase in participant knowledge. Based on the pretest results, the average initial score was 7.32, with the lowest score
being 5 and the highest being 10. This reflects that most respondents still have limited understanding of the importance of
limiting sugar, salt, and fat. These results also illustrate that the use of information system-based digital educational media
can be an effective and sustainable strategy for improving health services at the primary care level, particularly in
supporting healthy eating behaviors for patients with non-communicable diseases at the Tajinan Community Health
Center.
