SOSIALISASI DIKOTOMI HUKUM WARIS DI INDONESIA

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve public understanding of the inheritance law system in Indonesia, which consists of Islamic inheritance law, civil inheritance law (KUHPerdata), and customary inheritance law. These three systems often cause confusion in the resolution of inheritance cases, particularly regarding discrimination in inheritance rights for foreign descent citizens, such as the Chinese community. Through the socialization conducted in March 2025 at Hotel Santika, Malang, with 100 participants, this activity provides an understanding of the basic principles, administrative procedures, and differences between the inheritance law systems, as well as solutions to resolve inheritance disputes. It is expected that, through this activity, the public will better understand their rights and obligations in inheritance distribution, reduce the potential for disputes, and ensure fair inheritance management in accordance with applicable laws.
