Abstract

This article discusses the results of community service from the STIA Malang team through optimizing the role of women in improving the family economy. The STIA Malang service team carries out community service activities located at RT 02 RW 09, Sawojajar Village, Malang City. The activity was carried out for 1 day on October 26 2024. The focus of this article is the results of community service activities in the form of socialization which consists of disclosing material about 1. Strengthening the role of women to improve women's mindset. 2. Presenting the role of women in helping the family economically 3. Submitting material about home industry 4. Presenting examples of home industry 5. Determining business opportunities 6. The role of the Malang City government in business 7. Providing material about alternative capital for micro businesses Providing material about alternatives micro business capital. As a result of understanding the material, all participants agreed that if there was additional income, it could improve the economic welfare of the family and apart from that. 4 service participants had home industry business ideas in the field of food or snacks made from fish and vegetables. So, by working for women who are already married, it is a choice they make in order to help their husbands meet the family's economic needs.
